A month of quotes – June

At the beginning of June, I started a new weekly feature on my Facebook Page – every Sunday evening I posted a quote that inspired me in the past week, along with a story and one of my photographs.

4th June “A life based on a vision of possibilities” [Dewitt Jones]

I wish I’d thought like this when I was younger, that life can be filled with possibilities. I know it now, but perhaps if I’d known it earlier, I would have made more of the possibilities and opportunities that came my way.

"Creativity is intelligence having fun" [Albert Einstein]

11th June “Creativity is intelligence having fun” [Albert Einstein]

I consider myself to be creative but not intelligent. Studious and diligent perhaps but not intelligent. This is really a different way to think about creativity. Are the two linked? What do you think?
"A single positive thought in the morning can make a difference to the whole day" [Dalai Lama]

18th June “A single positive thought in the morning can make a difference to the whole day” [Dalai Lama]

I’ve chosen this one because it reminds me to start the day on a positive note. So many times I get out of bed thinking of everything that needs to be done in the day, and immediately feel down. Forcing myself to think of one positive thing that I have to look forward to (like writing a blog post or taking a photo) makes a big difference. It feels like life is not passing me by.
"The art of being wise is the art of knowing what to overlook" [ William James]

25th June “The art of being wise is the art of knowing what to overlook” [ William James]

Pick your battles / don’t sweat the small stuff… I guess this is the same thing…#EverydayDelights #dibzzen #EverydayDelightsQuote
