Unusual “treesure”

Infrequent, occasional, rare, scarce, sporadic, uncommon. atypic, atypical, novel, unconventional, unordinary, offbeat, bizarre, cranky, curious, eccentric, erratic, freakish, idiosyncratic, odd, outlandish, peculiar, quaint, queer, quirky, singular, strange, unnatural, weird, kooky, screwball, exceptional, extraordinary, magnificent, outstanding, preeminent, rare, remarkable, singular, towering, uncommon, standout, awesome, out of sight.

Oh. My. Word. So many synonyms for unusual, the prompt for this week’s photo challenge, where Lignum encourages us to

post a photo that is unusual in some way for you, whether it be through technique, by subject, or in some other unique way.

Immediately my eye fell on the word “quirky” in the long list. Perfect! The featured image shows a deserted, run down building boasting that “they are open”!

“Treasure” tree © Deborah Ann Stott 2016

This is the outside of a local junk shop. The outside and this tree are decorated with “treesure” – if you look closely you can see can openers, a hole punch and more! Along with an old TV remote (remember those?), my favourite part of this pic though is the quote…

“Life has no remote. You have to change it yourself”

How’s that for quirky and unusual? I have another post about quirky local decor, why not check it out?

PS: I think the quote in the pic is missing some words, as I’ve seen a different version on the web (“Life has no remote….get up and change it yourself!”)
