Waai #AtoZChallenge

Today, Dabelle’s challenge is to climb the vertical allsorts tower. She is kitted out with her climbing rope and axe.

“Let’s waai”, she said to herself.

“I cannot wait to get to the top. I wonder what will happen if I eat my way down?”

The South African word of the day

waai: [v-aai] – verb – Slang for “to go“. In Afrikaans, it means “wave hello/goodbye”.  Can also refer to the wind blowing.

I cannot believe that there are only three more posts to go in this challenge. Let’s waai!

PS: Do you like liquorice allsorts?

What a creative post! I loved learning a new South African word, and it made me think I should try doing this with Quebec French words, on my writing blog!

Also, yes, I do very much like licorice All Sorts 🙂
