Today, Dabelle’s challenge is to climb the vertical allsorts tower. She is kitted out with her climbing rope and axe.
“Let’s waai”, she said to herself.
“I cannot wait to get to the top. I wonder what will happen if I eat my way down?”
The South African word of the day
waai: [v-aai] – verb – Slang for “to go“. In Afrikaans, it means “wave hello/goodbye”. Can also refer to the wind blowing.

What a creative post! I loved learning a new South African word, and it made me think I should try doing this with Quebec French words, on my writing blog!
