Hey there, welcome to another Foto Friday and my final post for Becky’s theme of ‘time‘.
As I seem to have run out of Fridays in December (where did the month go?), this week I’m putting a whole bunch of clock images into collages. These have been taken on my travels around South Africa, Namibia and New Zealand.
Blue Clocks
First off, one clock from Queenstown in New Zealand and one from my hometown, Grahamstown. I don’t think the Queenstown one is actually blue, more of a slate colour, but I caught it in the blue hour just as the sun was going down.
The Grahamstown clock is on top of the Observatory Museum, which has the only working Victorian camera obscura in the Southern Hemisphere. Funny that our city should have such a rare thing in its midst!

Round clocks
Top left to bottom right: South Africa, New Zealand, New Zealand and South Africa. I do love the one which has words as well as numbers spotted in a coffee shop in Oamaru.

Round Clocks
Square clocks
All spotted in New Zealand except bottom right, which is in Swakopmund, Namibia. My favourite from this collection is the Chateauneuf-du-Pape one spotted in the coffee shop at the top of the Wellington Cableway. It looks to me as if the background, especially the numbers have been hand-painted – giving it character.

Square Clocks
I cannot believe that my next Foto Friday post will be in 2019! However you celebrate the new year, have a fabulous one!

Plenty of time to be had on this. I like the City Clock that has four-sided time that has the same correct time on each side.
