A timeline of the last 4 months
I have so many photo series that I build on – I like the idea of that because as life changes, I take photographs of the same concept and they show where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing. For example, I have a “View from my Lounge” series. Sadly, the photos are not all on this blog, but they were on my 365 project.
One of my most enduring occasional series, is “Where I Stand” or more often than not “Where We Stand“. When I am travelling or exploring on my own, or with others, I look for something on the ground that gives a hint of where we are (like a manhole cover) and get the people (and animals) I’m with to gather around to take a shot of our feet and the item of interest.
In this collection, you can see that when I immigrated back to England in February this year, I did not bring a lot of shoes with me! Perhaps it is time for some retail therapy?! I have my eye on a cute pair of Vans slip-ons, although they are outrageously expensive for me at the moment. If I get them, they will surely appear in this series at some point!.

Places taken (left to right):
Scarborough, Crowthorne, Crowthorne, Kew Gardens in London, Devon – my shoes have been all over the place in the last 4 months.
My absolute favourite from this collection is the middle one, taken with my son, my niece and her doggie, Scout. He moves so quickly, it was really hard to get him into the frame!

Do you have a favourite photo series, that you always return to?

This post is part of my Photography and Foto Fridays series.

Love the shoe shots. I may have to steal that idea, do you mind?
