Ascribing human qualities to other objects, is called anthropomorphism. I wonder if there is a word to ascribe fantasy qualities to trees?
During recent walks in local woods, I’ve been taking pics of trees that seem to be fantasy creatures in disguise. Is is just me, or do you also see things like this?
Above
Left: Is that platypus type creature biting the tree?
Right: Do you see two eyes and a combined nose/mouth?
Above
Left: A gremlin type baby perhaps?
Right: A swirling dervish with octopus type limbs?

Saving my favourite until last – be careful where you put your feet, this claw-like creature might grab your ankles and pull you under the leafy ground cover to the earth beneath!

Now I’m going to have to start looking at the trees in my yard to see what they have been hiding!
