Perfect timing

You know how sometimes you just get up at exactly the right time? This was the scene that greeted me last Saturday, when I looked out of the upstairs window.

I ran downstairs, grabbed my camera, popped on my canvas shoes and headed out over the dew-laden lawn. Within moments, my shoes were sodden, and my feet were cold. But it was worth it – to get shots of this magnificent light, casting rays and shadows over the grass.

The added bonus was the little shed flooded with light.

And then I played with intentional lack of focus and the light gave me an impressionist work of art.

Have you ever had a moment like this, that takes your breath away, because it is so unplanned and so astonishingly beautiful?
