Ben Huberman, in the Discover Prompts series running for the month of April, asks “In these days of lockdowns, closures, and physical distancing, what does Open mean to you?“
This is what “open” means to me. Wide open space, fresh, crisp air, clear blue skies, birdsong and a profusion of hawthorne bushes. The space gave me opportunity to breathe deeply and fill my lungs with freshness and light.

I live in an apartment, without a garden and being able to get out into the fresh air and sunshine once a day, feels like a necessity to me during lockdown.
I had a great solitary walk yesterday. I discovered a public footpath at the end of my road and followed my nose. I saw one or two folk in the distance, but they were not even near enough to nod ‘hello’. Social distancing is working here in England.
yes … and now we understand slightly more than we did.. how a caged animal experiences life

In South Africa, during their 3 week lockdown, they are not allowed for exercise at all, not even to walk the dog.
