It’s funny that my second choice of colour for my forage was pink. Because I used to hate it. Here’s the story.
Many years ago, when I first started yoga classes, during relaxation, the instructor told us to envelop ourselves in a loving pink colour. I had a big issue with pink and in my own silent way, rebelled against the idea of pink light being loving! I spoke to her after the class, shared my issues, and she told me to stick with it.
Over time I obviously came to terms with it, because it’s now one of my favourite colours – as you can see from the collection of pink items I have in my home! 😊
Pink represents compassion, nurturing, unconditional love and understanding. It’s feminine and romantic, affectionate and intimate, thoughtful and caring. Pink can also remind you of earlier childhood memories, associated with nurturing and comfort from your mother.
It’s no surprise I didn’t have a liking for it – I wasn’t really nurtured or comforted much as a child and I only began to understand the idea of nurturing when I had a child of my own. Maybe that’s when I started to feel more comfortable with it as a colour.
Anyway, this is the final layout of my pink stuff

I love how this foraging process is bringing up memories about things that I have forgotten about.
