The beach is full of thousands of bits of wood – not random at all, but fixed into the sand in planned ways. It’s a photographer’s heaven, actually.
Its hard to say what the pieces of wood are, but they look like the remains of many, many disintegrating quays and walkways. They are structurally and visually beautiful at low tide but I can imagine it is very dangerous to swim here when the tide is in and you cannot see what sharp things are under your feet!
