Rounding off my 2018 Feature Series with a collation of photos and memories from last year.
Post 8 in my 2018 Feature Series. Reflecting on a Classic Everyday Delights Month.
I didn't expect birds to be something I would photograph a lot on my trip to New Zealand - I'm not sure why!? I was also so glad that I've spent so much time this year practicing my bird shots, I needed to rely on those skills! Here's a selection of my favourites from the multitude that I took!
Despite all the travelling, I have done this year (Botswana, Namibia and New Zealand), I have stalled - I’m not posting every day, so I have massive holes in my calendars. I feel disconnected and uninterested. My project is not vibrant or alive.
Musings on 2018's Half and Half theme
I have always said to myself that I am NOT a landscape photographer. I tend to gravitate towards details and macros; shapes, patterns and textures and you can see some of those kinds of shots in my monthly posts. But I think I am beginning to understand how to compose a landscape shot and to make it my own - developing a style in this genre I suppose. If I look closely at them, I can also see shapes, textures and patterns within the bigger picture - my core style elements.
Musings on my learning, successes and failures after doing the annual "Flash of Red February" challenge.
This year, I want to be more focused on writing up my journey. Its a journey I've been on since 2014 and one I want to document in a more structured way. I am hoping to share my monthly themes along with my learning, successes and failures as I go along. A feature with 12 chapters.
